smtpd: /var/named/run-root/proc: Permission denied ?

[root@66-226-77-88 ~]# omon smtpd
/var/named/run-root/proc: Permission denied

I have tried to track this message down, and I can't figure it out. Any ideas?

This is a permissions problem with your DNS. What flavor of Linux are you on? Have you recently made DNS changes? While we really can't advise you on managing your DNS environment, I can point you in the direction of you /etc/sysconfig/named file and make sure your ROOTDIR value is set correctly there. You should be able to google for help with your DNS config.
