POP3 read failed

I have an account that is getting a read failed with POP3. The trace shows:

Connect: POP3 Server on (1150220367) Tue Jun 13 13:39:27 2006
-> +OK Scalix POP3 interface ready on: z9m9z.htt-consult.com

Command = capa
-> +OK capabilites follow

Command = user rgm@htt-consult.com
-> +OK rgm@htt-consult.com gets mail here

Command = pass
-> +OK User Signed on: rgm@htt-consult.com intray has 47 messages

User Signed on: rgm@htt-consult.com intray has 47 messages
Command = stat
-> +OK 47 259584

Command = uidl
-> +OK

Command = list 2
-> +OK 2 1024

Command = retr 2
-> -ERR Read failed

Command = quit
-> +OK POP3 Server connection terminated

POP3 Server connection terminated

This happened once before and I **THOUGHT** I figured out how to fix it by:

omscan -a -f -x 2>&1 > /var/opt/scalix/logs/omscan.out

I get for the acount in question:

Robert G. Moskowitz /z9m9z,htt 412 1 1 16 1 1 432

I can access the account with webmail, but not Eudora (though Eudora is the normal mode of access).

This happened once before with another account, and after I ran that omscan command, the account worked.

Oh, in Webmail, I deleted all junk stuf exited from webmail, and still Eudora fails.

I have spent some time looking into the manual an here for guidance.

Please help!!!

Ok, you need to run omscan in Active Mode, try this:

omscan -A -f -x 2>&1 > /var/opt/scalix/logs/omscan.out

First, I completed my migration to Thunderbird email client, and it did not have the problem Eudora was experiencing, so I got out of the disaster that way.

But there is some syntax error above because:

su

[root@z9m9z rgm]# omscan -A -f -x 2>&1 > /var/opt/scalix/logs/omscan.out
