Domain of sender address does not exist

Postby ah4279 » Tue Jun 13, 2006 8:49 am

I'm getting the following message my maillog and it appears that my users cannot send mail internally. We are receiving mail externally and can send mail externally but mail from mydomain.com to mydomain.com is not going through.

Any suggestions or ideas?

Code: Select all

Jun 13 08:31:46 mail sendmail[32377]: k5DCVkHv032377: ruleset=check_mail, arg1=<mailuser@mydomain.com>, relay=root@localhost, reject=553 5.1.8 <mailuser@mydomain.com>... Domain of sender address mailuser@mydomain.com does not exist

this is more than likely a DNS issue. Can you do a nslookup and resolve the domain?

Thank you, I had recently made changes to the DNS entries for the domain and messed up the mydomain.com. entry.
