Scalix sending out duplicate messages

Postby burhankhalid » Wed Apr 12, 2006 4:14 am

On some user accounts, scalix is sending out copies of the same message to recipient .. not just one or two, but in some cases 12 copies of the same message to the recipient.

This only happens when the email is addresses to someone outside of the scalix domain.

Can someone point me where I can start to look to troubleshoot this?

What do your sendmail logs show ? Does Scalix auditing show the same message looping ?

Cheers

We're getting the same thing here.

Previously we were on version 9.4 and an employee out of state first reported this issue. He exclusively uses the scalix webmail. In the reported issue, however, he had sent an email to his wife and she received 12 copies. I have no idea what client she used.

Since then, we've upgraded to the latest version 10.

Just today I've started receiving multiple copies. I'm using Outlook 2003 with IMAP at home. Multiple copies come in and when I try to open one I get an error message

"Can't open this item. This operation is not supported until the entire message is downloaded. Download the message and try again."

If I try and open the other copy then it works ok. The curious thing is that the other copy will show my name in the 'to' address field listed many times. If I close Outlook and re-open then the dupes disappear and the duplicates in the 'Send To' address are gone.

It appears to happen on html emails (but that's all that I've been receiving today).

Another note:

If I delete one, they both are deleted.

The questions Dave asked above still apply.

Thanks,
