You can run the command
. This will prevent the POP3 service from being started by
omrc or
omon -s all. There is another command that will remove the POP3 service completely but, trust me, the command to bring it back again is undocumented and complicated so it's easier just to disable it from starting.
This doesn't stop the service from being started by [b]omon pop[/code] but that's a manual command.
If you are running ommaint, you will also need to comment out the section that checks that if the service is running.
