groups not showing in SAC

Hello all,

Kind of an odd one. In the SAC I had added a new group, then tried to add a member to the group upon which I received an error stating something to the effect of 'administration server as experience an error, please review the server logs'. On top of this the new group that I had created was not showing up in the SAC.
Wanting to investigate further viewed the PDLs via the command terminal using omshowpdl –l all. The new group was listed and I was able to edit it and get things working the way I had intended. My current issue is that the new group still does not show up in the SAC. How can I fix this, and when are the logs that where mentioned in the error notification I receive earlier?

Hi,

What commands did you use to do it manually? To see what the error message is you need to look at /opt/scalix-tomcat/logs/caa.log file and the /opt/scalix-tomcat/logs/scalix-res.log file. I recommend using

Code: Select all

tail -f /opt/scalix-tomcat/logs/caa.log
and

Code: Select all

tail -f /opt/scalix-tomcat/logs/scalix-res.log
commands to watch the log in real time and then see what the error message is when the error dialogue is displayed in SAC.

If you then don't see any errors you can try to turn the debug mode for the log file by editing the /etc/opt/scalix/caa/config/log4j.properties and changing "INFO" to "DEBUG", and then restarting tomcat and then looking at the log files again.
