My Questions about Scalix

Postby kool_kid » Mon Jan 14, 2008 7:23 pm

how do i create a junk folder(spam) for each user?

what about archiving tool, do i need to download it from somewhere or is it inbuilt?

I want to do a flash migration becuz we have less number of users, how do i do it all at once i think there is a tool called Scalix Migration Tool (SMT), can i use this tool for Flash migration? where can i download it or is it built-in 11.3? if not SMT how do i migrated the complete set of users on our scalix server. These users use pop3 service to download mails to there local system.

Hi

Archiving is built into the SBE and EE versions of scalix. Search the forums or the Administrators guide to find out how this works
You won't need to use the SMT to migrate internet PST files into the message store.
Once you have your user connected to the Scalix server you can just do a file import for that user.

File > Import & Export > Import from another programe or file > Personal folder file (.pst)

Will do the trick here

For them the best will probably be something along the lines of imapsync.

Hi

Or if you have PST files you could cycle through each user making thema premium user. Connecting an Outlook client Importing data. Then make them a standard user again.

in my scalix box Archiving feature is working, now what i want is to have a software which can read the archive folder and arrange it in a manner such that when i click/select the username it should show all the available emails that came to his email address and went from his mail address, is there any available?
