ldapmapper port specification in /etc/default/ldapmapper?

Postby TCWardrobe » Wed Nov 07, 2007 7:19 pm

Hi folks,

scalix works in general, mails go in and out, anyhoiw during the bootup process I get the following messages in /var/log/mail.log

Code: Select all

Nov  7 23:37:21 groupie ldapmapper[2678]: (re)read scalix global config file
Nov  7 23:37:21 groupie ldapmapper[2678]: found scalix instance groupie
Nov  7 23:37:21 groupie ldapmapper[2678]: (re)read relay config file /var/opt/scalix/ge/s/sys/smtpd.cfg
Nov  7 23:37:21 groupie ldapmapper[2678]: cannot send search request to instance groupie: Can't contact LDAP server

I've searched the forum and checked with google, these messages are known but as I don't see a problem here I ask myself if this is in this case just a cosmetic issue.
The solution referred to changed ldapmapper port or a missing LDAPMAPPER_OPTIONS="-L ldap://%s:PORT" where PORT is the port where ldapmaper runs on in /etc/default/ldapmapper, but those who had this issue were not able to send mails and their mail.log was empty, I am able to send mails and the log is not empty... so what is this about?

greets
Michael

my specs:
OS: Debian etch
Scalix 11.2 CE
