Inodes won't stop growing

The percentage of Inodes on our scalix server keeps increasing at a rate of 1% every other day. What can be done to stop this? We have deleted over 30,000 messages but it did not make a dent in the inodes count.

more informaiton - our total mailbox usage is 7.6 GB but we are using 57GB in actual disk space. How can we find out what that 49+ GB is being used for and is it realated to our Inode problem.

I would firstly run a omscan -Aa to see if there are orphans in the mailstore. You can fix this with omscan -Aafx. The orphan files should be moved to /var/opt/scalix/??/s/orphans.
