Disable users inbox

When users are to be removed from the system, is there a proper way to archive their inbox and remove them from the system, or to at least disable the inbox? I see the omdelu command, but I dont see a way to archive their mail.

Two things you can do:

- either lock their mailbox (ommodu -o user -K) and block incoming mail (ommodu -o user -r N)

or:

- export their mailbox (omcpoutu -n user -f filename.dat) and delete the user. Note that depending on the size of the mailbox, this file might be as large as 100MB (and possibly more). When you want to access this file, create the user again and run omcpinu.
