FC2 and FC3

Postby gezi » Mon Nov 14, 2005 6:19 am

I am very tempted to give Scalix a try, but I am still running on FC2 and am not really keen to upgrade - there are some customer sites on that machine, so my question is if it is possible to install on the older fedore cores.

Thanks
Gunter

Unfortunately not. In terms of Fedora, Scalix currently only supports FC4.

Just to clarify, Scalix will not work on FC2 or FC3 as the libraries we now depend on are very different in FC4...

So not only is it not supported, it won't work at all. Fooling the Scalix installer by editing the redhat-release file to show a supported platform won't work in this case.
