This leads me to a hopefully more simple question: Is there a good alternative to scalix? Easy to install would also be nice

It's funny how different people have a different experience of Scalix.
I have found nothing but help on the forums. Sometimes you (and/or I) might post something which lacks any real detail, and others tend to browse over it, not really being able to help. I have seen over and over again that if you keep troubleshooting, and keep posting where you are up to, at some point someone will jump in with some help.
