LDAP Daemon Aborted

Hi all,

We had a DNS problem today (our ISP deleted our MX record!!!), as a result our mail server couldn't be reached for a while. After correcting this problem, we still couldn't get or send e-mail. We have restarted our Scalix server. All the services "except" LDAP Daemon starts. scalix status gives "LDAP Daemon Aborted". We try to start it manually (omon LDAP) but nothing changes. We also tried "service ldapmapper restart" and "service sendmail restart" but nothing changes. Still the LDAP Daemon Aborted. I'm open to any idea, please help! We've upgrade to 11.1.0 a few days ago, running on SLES 10.

PS : We've also done "omcheck", "omscan" and "omtidyallu" commands with no help!

Hi,

Please post any relevant output (e.g. omshowlog -s ldap and omsetsvc -r ldap) to see if there is any clue to the LDAP server not started.

Hi Danny,

We have realized that "slapd" service has been started before Scalix, that's why Scalix LDAP Daemon couldn't start. We've solved the problem, thanks for your reply.
