Adding an additional directory for webclients?

Postby dwerthmu » Wed Jun 20, 2007 5:49 pm

It seems that adding an additonal directory for Outlook just requires a setting in the mapi.cfg
file like /var/opt/scalix/b2/s/nls/C/mapi.cfg

[Display]
ShowMailnodes=0
ShowCustomAttributes=1
[Directories]
1=Org-CONTACTS

Now Org-Contacts shows up in the outlook addressbook as an additional address list

How do I add the same to the web client?
Its not clean in the swa.properties?

Hi,

I'm afraid this feature isn't supported by SWA at present.

Thanks for the info - I hope the ability to use additional directories will be added in the near future.

I notice at the bottom of the swa.properties file there is a section:
# Additional LDAP sources can be added here. The following attributes are valid
#
# Server Hostname or IP address (optional, default = localhost)
# swa.ldap.<n>.server=localhost
#
# LDAP port number (optional, default = 389)
# swa.ldap.<n>.port=389

But this doesn't appear to do anything.
I added my test directory and it didn't appear avialable to the webclient.

Hi,

The issue here is that your test directory is a Scalix proprietry directory, NOT an LDAP directory. We provide an LDAP view of the default SYSTEM Scalix proprietry directory but I'm afraid again, at this time it is not possible to setup an LDAP view of other proprietry directories.

Gren
