Sending error config error: mail loops back to me (MX proble

Hi,

I am not sure what had happend, maybe i have misconfigured sendmail, but i have reinstalled both sendmail and scalix i still get this error inconsistently...

I have server scalix 1 and scalix2. I can send between the two boxes ocassionally, but certain times i get the following returned error in inbox:

from localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1]

While in /var/log/maillog, it shows the following log error:

Any idea what is wrong and how to solve it? thanks for taking time helping.

Generally, upgrading or changing things will have left older version of your sendmail.cf. Personally, I'll rename one of them back to current, restart sendmail, and go from there. That will be faster than troubleshooting this.

In any case, what is in /etc/mail/local-host-names?

Sorry not sure why I didnt get informed about your reply to my thread. Sorry for the double post, i have solved the problem. Its my own mistake, a badly configured MX record. After i fixed that its all right now.
