Is it safe to uninstall Remote Execution Service

I would like to remove SWA, SAC and Tomcat. But in order to remove Tomcat, I also need to remove the remote execution service. When I get there, the installer tells me I should also be removing the Scalix server. Which I really don't want to be doing.

Can I remove the service without removing the scalix server, and then reinstall it without taking the system offline?

The server will be offline during this process, unfortunately.

Be careful to keep your message store when prompted during the removal of Scalix Server.

Can I ask why you're removing & reinstalling all of those components? You know you can just reconfigure them, right?

It was to try fixing tomcat failing every few hours and my SAC no longer available.

But I'm pursuing the Java thread first.
