Very Slow SMTPD

hi, i have a problem whit SMTPD, its very slow to respond a client (intranet) more than 15 seconds.... but pop and imap are very fast 1 or 2 seconds.

this problem appear today and no have answer for that. because no erros in logs

This is indicative of a DNS lookup problem.

When a client connects to the SMTP Relay, the SMTP Relay will do a reverse lookup on the IP address to obtain the name for it's anti-spam checks.

If your DNS servers are slow to respond, this delay the initial 220 response back to the client.

show sendmail process in less to 1 seccond but the omsmtpd appear like over 20 seconds

Again, that's indicative of DNS issues.

lsof has to convert the IP addresses for the connections into names.
