Howto create folder from command line

Postby obelix_79 » Wed Mar 07, 2007 11:05 am

Hi

I want to create extra folders like spam and virus. How can I do this from the command line?

Thanks

I assume you mean you want each user to have one of these folders. If that's correct, then just create the autosort rules with sxaa, and the folders will be automatically created if they don't already exist.

If you want to create a public folder, then you're looking for omaddbb

If I want to do this to all the users, do I need to run a script that creates it for each users?
is there a way to do it for everybody as a system rule, so when I add a new user I wont have to run it for that new one?

There's no easy way to automatically have a rule created for each user that gets created automatically. Sorry.

... but as rules can be created using the admin resource kit's sxaa tool and that can be looped/scripted, it should be fairly easy to get going with this.
