omldapsync account administration

Postby mrrus » Thu Jul 28, 2005 5:36 pm

I'm using omldapsync to populate the Scalix Directory from Win2k AD during the co-existance period. This gives me, on the Scalix server, minimal user administration on the user accounts.
Going forward, when all accounts are migrated from Exch2000 to Scalix, is there a way to remove/change the dependency on Active Directory and fully administer the Scalix accounts from SAC ?

Entries synced from AD will have GUID different from Scalix and SAC will only allow read-only for these entries. Once the migration is complete and the sync is stopped, the entries could be made editable by SAC by setting this directory attribute in Scalix: ADMINISTERED-BY=scalix.

Use ommodent to do this on the Scalix system where the entry is imported from AD, e.g.
ommodent -e "CN=<common name>" -n "ADMINISTERED-BY=scalix"

Cheers,
Danny
