authentication id

i have scalix configured mostly the way i'd like it (answer for my domain, etc), but when I'm creating new users, it always sets the authentication id to something like:

first.last@scalix.domain.com
(scalix is the current hostname)

can it just be

first.last@domain.com
?

The easiest way is with the Scalix Administration Console.
Select Settings, select your Mail Server, "Tab" General, change the field "Authentication ID Domain".
