Install problems on Suse 9.1

Postby mpullen » Mon Mar 14, 2005 11:58 am

Trying to install the evaluation on Suse 9.1. The installer returns the following message when I supply the path to the .rpm files.

Could not find any new Scalix packages suitable for this platform. Perhaps you already have all new Scalix packages installed, or are looking in the wrong directory.

When I attempt to install the RPM manually I get the following message.

scalix-server-eval-9.2.0.115-0.1.suse91.i586.rpm can not be installed.

So what is goin on?

Running

OS: Suse 9.1
arch: i586 :?:

Can you post the contents of /var/log/scalix-installer-xxxx.log ?

Also, are you using SuSE Pro 9.1 ?

Cheers

The output indicates that you already have those packages installed because RPM is returning all the request information.

Is there a reason why you are re-installing ?

Cheers

Dave

The RPM doesn't seem to be installed

Postby mpullen » Mon Mar 14, 2005 1:16 pm

Here's the output of what I get when I check if the RPM's are installed.

rpm -q scalix*
package scalix-res-9.2.0.211-1.noarch.rpm is not installed
package scalix-sac-9.2.0.211-1.noarch.rpm is not installed
package scalix-server-eval-9.2.0.115-0.1.fc3.i386.rpm is not installed
package scalix-server-eval-9.2.0.115-0.1.rhel3.i386.rpm is not installed
package scalix-server-eval-9.2.0.115-0.1.sles9.i586.rpm is not installed
package scalix-server-eval-9.2.0.115-0.1.suse91.i586.rpm is not installed
package scalix-swa-9.2.0.212-1.noarch.rpm is not installed
package scalix-websplats-configurator-py22-9.2.0.211-1.noarch.rpm is not installed
package scalix-websplats-configurator-py23-9.2.0.211-1.noarch.rpm is not installed

But if your sure, I am sure. Could you give me an idea about how to remove the package, maybe it's name or something?

I haven't installed it yet, so it shouldn't be installed, and it is not configured whatsoever.

Thanks.

I guess I got a bad download. I redownloaded the rpm and everything is working fine.

Thanks :D
