Yes. You need to copy over /var/opt/scalix/* including preserving ownership and permissions.

Switching from 32 to 64 bit, as well as between distributions is no problem.

I would recommend CentOS 5 This is an exact copy of RedHat's Enterprise Linux 5 which is supported by Scalix.

If you use the 64 bit version you can throw more memory at Scalix which will help it run more efficiently. A minimum amount of memory I personally would run Scalix would be 8 GB. Especially if you are using mail filtering software on the same machine.

You'll run into pgsql issues if you do that.

Just remove the postgres packages, and delete the directory. It'll be recreated for you on the new system.
