user id case

Is it possible to add "flast" (as opposed to fLast) as an auth id option? Since uid is case sensitive - this would be much better if it were an available default.

Or better - a way to ignore case on id's?

You can do what you're after but I have to ask why? In order to log on one can use

first last

last (if it is unique)

and

internet address

Auth id is there as an authentication option but it is not the only one. Can you explain further how this is a problem?

Thanks,
Don

OK - perhaps I'm overlooking something here... I create a hypothetical user John Doe - the id will be created as jDoe (notice cap). When I try to log in the first time to SWA, jdoe will not work, it must be jDoe... So just looking to make everything lowercase. What surprised me is the the lowercase id entry did not work (unless I changed it in SAC). But I am planning on importing 500 users - so would like a "default" setting of flast rather than fLast. Can that work? Can I manually add it to the pick list in server settings?
