Gen. question mapi.cfg + execution Error on changing folders

Postby Uluquai » Sat Jan 16, 2010 1:49 pm

Hi,

I have one last quite enerving issue affecting Outlook mailboxes:

From time to time after changing folders in Outlook there's a message popup "Error executing operation" (translated from German) "Fehler beim Ausführen der Operation" and the folder they were changing to is shown empty.
This isn't very critical though, because when they then change folder again and navigate back everything's there and working as it should.

In the sx log on the clients I see this entry when it happens: "the requested operation is not supported by the current implementation of the serviceprovider".
("Der angeforderte Vorgang wird von der aktuellen Implementierung des Dienstanbieters nicht unterstützt")

Does anyone know what might be the causing that? Can't find ANYTHING in the server logs, nothing in fatal, nor omshowlog -l 9.

This is independent of the Outlook version (2007sp2 or 2003sp3) and machine and mailbox.

Already tried exporting mailbox, reimporting mailbox to different user, emptying ~/temp and ~/tmp and restarting scalix of course. Removing everything under user's dir/0000v8.ofs/* and imap-cache, rebuilding smart cache, on the client side creating new profile after that.. nothing's helped..

also does anyone know what MaxContainerSize= exactly does in mapi.cfg?
I wanted to limit users on displaying 1000 entries in one folder only, but it seems that the setting is ignored.
May Mapi.cfg is as follows:

20
[AutoUpgrade]
HTTPSetupPath=http://<fqdn>/Setup.exe
HTTPUpdateInstallMgr=1
HTTPUpgradeExemptList=
MinimumScalixVersion=11.4.6.9214
ForwardInstallLogsTo=sxadmin@>hostname>
ForwardInstallLogsFrom=<fqdn>
ForwardInstallLogsSubject=Automatic-Upgrade Status
UseLocalTimeVSGMT=1
UpgradeIntervalTimeCheck=8

[DISPLAY]
MaxContainerSize=1000

Thanks very much!

Cheers,

max
