[SOLVED] Web services doesn't work

Postby alexpacio » Fri Dec 11, 2009 10:31 pm

Hi,
I upgraded my Scalix 11.4.1 to a Scalix 11.4.5 but web services (swa, sac, mobile) doesn't work.. When i call the SWA , it responses with a 404 error code (description: The requested resource (/webmail) is not available.)
I found in the error log of apache (error_log) that apache can't connect to AJP. Here is the error:

[Sat Dec 12 02:43:45 2009] [error] (111)Connection refused: proxy: AJP: attempt to connect to 192.168.200.130:8009 (scalix.mediaspot.net) failed
[Sat Dec 12 02:43:45 2009] [error] ap_proxy_connect_backend disabling worker for (scalix.mediaspot.net)
[Sat Dec 12 02:43:45 2009] [error] proxy: AJP: failed to make connection to backend: scalix.mediaspot.net
[Sat Dec 12 02:43:55 2009] [error] proxy: AJP: disabled connection for (scalix.mediaspot.net)

Any suggestions?

I found an info doing some diagnostics: it seems that the AJP connector doesn't have the castorproxy in the UDP port.

Where can i see configuration files about that?

Thanks.

I encountered this error again on a working system, nothing was changed - so I thought - but one file had been restored from a backup as a test and it was the /opt/scalix/web/webmail.xml. It was the same file that had been backed up just being restored as a test. For what ever reason Scalix/apache/tomcat took exception to this file being replaced. Looked the same no changes to it whatever.

Then the 404 errors started to occur for internal and external customers. " /webmail this resource is not available" was the text.

Ran the scalix Installer and reconfigured web access - didn't really just ran the installer and made NO CHANGES whatever. Now the webmail client can logon just fine and not 404 errors anymore.

Hope this helps anyone else out there experiencing this error for no apparent reason.
