Doesn't ANYBODY at Scalix know why we might be seeing the double send behavior from our mail clients?
I send mail through another SMTP server and it does not have the same behavior.
I send mail through the Scalix SMTP server and it seems to send the mail twice. I get a dialog for the original upload (Thunderbird) and then I get a SECOND dialog that says "sending authentication info".... If it is a 5mb file attachment, it will take just as long for this second dialog as it did to send the original 5mb attachment.
So - essentially, sending mail through the Scalix SMTP server takes TWICE the amount of time as other SMTP servers. Can't anyone at Scalix help figure out what might be doing this?
I have posted my configs in several threads asking for help - and I narrowed down the slowness behavior to this exact thing. We fixed a reverse DNS issue. I'd like to see Scalix SMTP server behave as the other SMTP server.
I mean - is it submtting through sendmail and then again through Scalix? How do I tell? I don't have anything unusual in my stmpd.cfg file. Could this be related to the POSTGRES error I am seeing (another unanswered thread).
I briefly got some help from someone at Scalix and then I guess it was the end of the office day and haven't seen anyone since.... that was yesterday...
