Scalix tab doesn't appear in AD

Thank you for your answer, but I'm not talking about the "Outlook Connecor", which is subject of the bug report 15007. Reading the bug report brought me a solution for installing the Outlook connector (which was also not working), but it has nothing to do with the server side "schema" and "GUI" MSI files.

That must have been a mix-up with the bug number - we're keeping quite a few plates spinning over here ;p

Anyway, can you confirm whether installing the GUI extensions works on an administration workstation?

I've tested with W2K3 English/US and 2K3 Deutsch/DE and both seem to work fine.

The Schema-Extensions, necessary for the actual structure of the AD-Objects, should be visible with the ADSI-Editor. If you can install the GUI Extensions on an XP or 2K workstation and let me know if you then see the tab in ADUC, that would be a big help.

Ok, I've tried to install the GUI extension on a Windows XP Pro (english) workstation without success.

The behavior was the same as described above: No scalix extensions in ADUC, same error message if I try to register the ScalixADPages.dll manually.

The administrative workstation: fresh Windows XP Prof. english mit SP2, all hotfixes and the AdministrationToolsPack from MS.

I suspect, the MSI files I got with the evaluation package are broken.

This bug has to do with installing the connector for desktops via a GPO. I'll have to look around to see what thread this reply should actually be attached to... The bug has nothing to do with AD extensions.
