SpamAssassin Wiki rule for score above 3

Postby korstad » Tue Jul 10, 2007 9:22 pm

I have followed the Wiki for SpamAssassin;
http://www.scalix.com/wiki/index.php?ti ... amAssassin

Everything is working fine. Creating a rule for the spam messages with [SPAM] in the subject is easy enough.

However, I am struggling with the rule for
with a score above 3, goes into the "possible spam" folder

I have played with the email rules and even read through the documentation on sxaa but not sure how to create a rule for the header to do a range for the X-Spam-Status: No, score=3 to X-Spam-Status: No, score=4.9

Anyone else set this up?

I just followed the wiki and the subject rewrite worked fine here.

I am using FC4 with Scalix 10 and spamassassin 3.1.7 (the most recent version of spamassassin on pbone.net rpm search for my old FC4 box)

The one thing the wiki did not describe well was how to make an account an mboxadmin. I guess it was assumed a scalix admin would know.

Create a scalix account than run;
ommodu <your user> -c +mboxadmin

Other than that the wiki steps worked for me. I just don't know how to create the rule for possible spam for messages with scores higher than 3 but less than 5 that they mention in the wiki.

Any clues on how to do that would most welcome!!

I think for that you will want a rule that examines the X-Spam-Status header which has the value:

X-Spam-Status: Yes, score=13.2 required=7.0.....

I got the subject line working, i had to remove the -m option from spamass-milter :D

I am getting some errors though:

spamd[26778]: mkdir /root/.spamassassin: Permission denied at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.5/Mail/SpamAssassin.pm line 1536

spamd[26778]: locker: safe_lock: cannot create tmp lockfile /root/.spamassassin/auto-whitelist.lock.rhel-sv-mail.a

I have spamassassin running as a normal user spamd. Any thoughts? Are you seeing this?
