Cannot log into SAC after trying to set up SAMBA

Postby payless » Wed Oct 10, 2007 12:00 am

I tried to set up SAMBA on my REDHAT EL5 server running Scalix. Everything was working fine before but after I tried, and then backed out, the SAMBA setup, I can no longer log in to SAC.
When I run

Code: Select all

omldapsync -u AD_SX1

I get the following error:

Code: Select all

I have tried everything I can find in these forums but have not had any luck. I and running version 11.2

I also have a problem with emails going into the drafts folder as soon as they are sent when I use webmail. I think it is one in the same error.

Thanks
Kerry

UM-1023 error in relation to the sxadmin or whatever user you have setup in your IM_CAA_NAME= field in the omldapsync needs to be reflective of the information in the IM_HOST=
These need to match? As in the NAME=sxadmin@mailserver.domain.com should match the IM_HOST=localserver.mailserver.domain.com. So they are in the same domain.

The AUTHID field in the output of omshowu -n sxadmin, that is the first line, is what should be put in the IM_CAA_NAME, if this doesn't have the full IA address information you can change this to be the same. Or you can have the IM_CAA_NAME without the @mailserver.domain.com but the IM_HOST must still have the FQDN of the server.

Interesting question though is what if this server has an external FQDN and one for an internal domain which one do you have to use then? Would it be best to use the external one as that is what the domain name for most of the users will be? Or doesn't it matter?
