Webmail doesn't send mails

I don't know if this is the right topic, but I think it is. Since a day or 3 the webmail doesn't send mails anymore. When I want to send a mail it reacts with:
Due to a failure to establish a connection, the message could not be sent.
Please try again later. A copy of the message has been placed into your 'Drafts' folder.
When I restart services sometimes it sends for a little while but it always comes back to this error. Sendmail seems fine to me as it is sending when I do a telnet to port 25 and use the commands to send a testmail.
Where do I start? As far as I know I didn't change anything on the server....
