Scalix 12.2 and CentOS. Updates for the OS?

Hello, we are currently implementing a Scalix 12.x installed on CentOS 6.6. Everything is working fine. Due to the environment that need Scalix, I wonder, however, if you can install the updates for CentOS safely. Or it would be better without it?
How is the experience. Finally, CentOS updates, too open Java, or other files.

You should have update the OS before installing Scalix .
Now it would be better without it.

Hello shortgoldy, thanks for your reply. At the time of installation CentOS course, was at the cutting edge. To me it's more about the current updates. So far precaution not performed!
