Scalix Provides 50% Discount to Encourage Exchange Sites to Switch to Scalix
Promotion Helps Exchange Customers Improve Email Reliability and Security and Reduce Cost
SAN MATEO, CA — NOVEMBER 18, 2005 — Scalix, the leading provider of new generation email and calendaring on Linux, today announced the "Exchange Exchange" promotion that provides Microsoft customers with a 50% discount on software licenses to switch to Scalix. The promotion is effective immediately and runs through February 28, 2006.
Over half of Scalix's hundreds of enterprise customers have switched from all versions of Exchange. Common reasons for moving to Scalix include more reliable email and calendaring, fewer security vulnerabilities, lower costs, and independence from vendor and licensing lock-in. Scalix recently published a white paper entitled "Seven Good Reasons to Exchange Exchange" that details these and other major advantages of migrating to Scalix. The white paper can be freely downloaded from Scalix's web site at http://www.scalix.com/downloads/resourcelibrary.html.
The Scalix Exchange Exchange promotion applies to customers running any version of Exchange. To qualify for the promotional discount, an Exchange customer must provide proof of ownership, consisting of a purchase order, invoice or order statement that includes a lineitem for an Exchange Server or software assurance. For more information about the promotion, please contact a Scalix salesperson or reseller.
"Scalix is seeing tremendous interest from Exchange customers that want more reliable, secure and cost-effective email and calendaring," said Hal Steger, Scalix Vice President of Marketing. "This promotion amplifies the tremendous cost savings that customers realize when they move to Scalix, and will make it easier for them to experience the many compelling benefits of Scalix."
